Oboe: masterclasses, workshops and courses

By submitting specific documents that will be scrutinized by the responsible department, students who have already completed training activities deemed acceptable by the teaching regulations in the chosen course of study will be able to receive the acknowledgement of the corresponding credits.

At the end of the studies relative to the Academic Diploma, first level in Oboe, the students will have to acquire the knowledge of techniques and the specific skills in order to develop their artistic ideas. To this objective, particular attention will be given to the study of the repertoire, which is representative of the instrument – including the Ensemble one – and to the relative performance practices, and with the final aim to develop the student’s capacity of being able to interact within musical groups of different compositions. Such objectives will have to be reached by also favoring the development of the perceptive listening skills, of memorization and of acquiring specific knowledge relative to the organizational, compositional and analytical models, and of their interaction. Specific cure will have to be dedicated to acquiring adequate techniques of postural and emotional control. At the end of the course, the students will have to have acquired a profound knowledge of the stylistic, aesthetic historical aspects in general and relative to the specific requirements.

Please note - this is a training programme with a focus on learning through immersion in the rehearsal and performance process. This programme is suitable for university/conservatoire students - above all, candidates should be keen to learn. The size of the orchestra is that of a chamber orchestra.
