Harp: workshops, masterclasses and courses

Due to its beauty, variety, and capacity for expression, the harp is one of the few instruments that inspires as much awe and interest. The harp, which is frequently thought to be a challenging instrument to learn, is actually very approachable and simple to learn with the right instructor. The harp does not require the use of frets or bowing, unlike other stringed instruments like the guitar or violin. Beginners can quickly find success and create beautiful music with even the simplest of songs. The tutors have considerable experience in professional harp instruction and performance, making the place to grow for beginners and advanced players.

Tune your harp
Play a wide variety of pieces, including traditional celtic classics, modern pop songs, christmas carols, children’s songs and many other genres
If you want to, you will learn how to read music, although it is also possible to go through the course without this if you choose. Many of the best musicians don’t read music
Play chords to accompany singing or other instruments

Write your own music
You are a student who needs to either rent or own an instrument. The instructors and Student Services Coordinator will be happy to direct you to some of our partner organizations who can help you find the perfect instrument.

Music classes
The programme focuses on instrumental studies, chamber music and ensemble. You can also play in a symphony orchestra and receive individual instruction from teachers. As a student of the programme, you will be a part of an international environment characterized by dialogue and openness between students and teachers, with individual tuition. You will continue your artistic development as you enhance your instrumental and ensemble skills on your chosen instrument.
