Peter Fender's Chamber Music Course, 2025. Il Convento dell'Angelo, nr Lucca, Tuscany Italy. A friendly and positive course for adults and young people in a beautiful region, just north of Lucca and west of Florence. Both pre-existing groups and individuals are accepted, at a variety of standards - you will be helped to learn and improve, whatever your standard/experience. You will receive coaching from our resident professional quartet, the Alkyona Quartet, who will also give two lecture recitals. The week will focus on music by Mozart, Beethoven and Ethel Smyth. In addition, you can bring music with you that you want to work on. We stay in a wonderful old ex-monastery in the Tuscan Hills - a great setting with great food! £820 / £670 students (£30 early bird discount also available) for all tuition, plus six nights board and lodging.
