There is one (1) Core Section Violin position available.
This is a full-time, tenure track position. Salary for the 2025-26 season will be $40,234.49 ($1,149.56 weekly).
Benefits include group health insurance, short-term disability, life and AD&D insurance, and pension contribution.
A dental plan is available but not funded by the Symphony.
Auditions will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025.
Invited candidates will be asked to return a confirmation form with a $50 refundable audition deposit to arrive by Friday, May 2, to secure an audition time.
Audition times will be assigned on Monday, May 5.
Audition excerpts will be available by March 14, 2025.
All audition rounds are screened.

The KSO performs a 35-week season which will begin September 1, 2025, and end on May 18, 2026.
In addition to rehearsing and performing with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra and Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra, Core Section Violin will serve in a string small ensemble scheduled throughout the season for Education and Community Partnership programming.
