The Vaasa City Orchestra is the most significant player in classical music in Ostrobothnia, Finland. Under the leadership of Chief Conductor Anna-Maria Helsing, our 31 professional musicians form an accomplished symphony orchestra, for which we are now seeking:
ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL SECOND VIOLIN AND FIRST VIOLINIST (TUTTI)
for a permanent position starting from 21 July 2025.
Audition: Tuesday, 13 May 2025, starting at 12.00.
Invitation to audition will be sent by e-mail after the application period ends.
The orchestra’s pianist will be available for the audition. The applicants may also bring their own pianist at their own expense.
Venue: Vaasa City Hall, Senaatinkatu 1, Vaasa

Salary for Assistant Principal Second Violin: 2 874,49 €/month
Salary for First Violinist (Tutti): 2 874,49 €/month
The position is subject to a six-month probationary period. The selected candidate must provide a medical certificate confirming their fitness for the role before accepting the position.
