The Münster Orchestra Academy is a co-operation between the Münster Symphony Orchestra and the Münster University of Music.
The audition replaces the artistic aptitude test of the University of Music for admission to a degree programme at the University of Music Münster.
In principle, members of the Orchestra Academy should be enrolled in one of the two Master's degree programmes in Music and Creativity or in the Certificate Year of Study programme at Münster University of Music.
If you are enrolled on the Master's programme, you will receive a monthly scholarship of €300 in addition to the fee paid by the symphony orchestra during the academy year for the entire four-semester course.
Your online application for the Master's degree programme in Music and Creativity or the certificate programme Certificate Year of Study must be submitted by 8 April 2025. A study consultation will take place directly after the successful audition in the theatre.
Passing the audition for the orchestra academy obliges you to accept the academy position in the orchestra.
There is no obligation to enrol at Münster University of Music.
