The Dual Orchestra Academy Thuringia (a programme offered by the Altenburg Gera Theatre and the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra) awards a scholarship for the current and upcoming seasons (2025.26 Jena Philharmonic Orchestra / 2026.27 Altenburg Gera Philharmonic Orchestra).
It includes participation in music theatre performances, concerts and rehearsals; instruction by personal mentors and is supplemented by a wide range of further training opportunities in the fields of Feldenkrais, mental and audition training (e.g. audition simulations and orchestral audition training), concert moderation, chamber music, etc.
To support the scholarship holder's living expenses and protect against the financial risk of illness, a payment of €810 per month is made plus a monthly travel allowance of €100.
This offer is aimed at students or graduates who have just completed their music studies.
Please note: We invest a great deal of time and money in organising and holding auditions.
If you are invited to an audition, we therefore expressly ask you to cancel at least 48 hours in advance if you are unable to attend!
