Founded in 1870, Vanemuine is the first professional theatre in Estonia and one of the very few three-genre theatres in Europe. Now in its 156th season, Vanemuine continues to present a diverse repertoire that includes ballets, dramas, operas, operettas, and musicals. We regularly collaborate with internationally renowned directors, and as a chorus member, you will also have the opportunity to audition for smaller solo roles.
In the upcoming season, the Vanemuine Opera Chorus will be involved in the ballet A Little Prayer – Arvo Pärt 90, as well as the operas La Traviata by Verdi, Turandot and La Bohème by Puccini, and King Arthur by Purcell. The season also features the operetta Silva by Kálmán and the musicals Sister Act, Les Misérables, and Kinky Boots.
In addition, we work closely with the Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra to perform symphonic choral works.
