In partnership with Lindauer, Boston Conservatory at Berklee is seeking an exceptional Dean of Music to lead its prestigious Music Division into an era of bold innovation and global impact. This visionary leader will oversee a faculty of 125 world-class educators and nearly 400 exceptionally talented students in programs consistently ranked among the nation’s best.
The Dean of Music will guide the evolution of music education, blending tradition with forward-thinking approaches to create a transformative experience for students. Reporting to the Executive Director of the Conservatory, the Dean will collaborate with institutional leadership, enhance external partnerships, and champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of the division’s work.
In this role, you will:
• Lead curricular innovation to broaden artistic perspectives and align with contemporary professional landscapes.
• Foster strategic collaborations with Berklee’s global campuses and external arts institutions.
• Manage the Music Division’s $9 million budget with fiscal responsibility.
• Expand opportunities for student engagement, retention, and career readiness.
• Advocate for resources and develop philanthropic partnerships to support divisional goals.
