The Heidelberg Philharmonic Orchestra (GMD Mino Marani, Honorary Conductor Mario Venzago) has a permanent vacancy for a 100% viola tutti (m/f/d) at the beginning of the 2025/2026 season.
Audition: 16 July 2025, 11 am
The appointment is initially for a trial period of one year.

Travelling expenses can only be reimbursed up to the amount of the 2nd class train ticket within Germany if the 2nd round is reached. Accommodation costs and daily allowances are not covered by us.
We recommend travelling by public transport, as there are no parking spaces available at the theatre.

First round:
Carl Stamitz or Franz Anton Hoffmeister: Concerto in D major 1st movement with cadenza and 2nd movement
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Scherzo

Second round:
Béla Bartók or William Walton or Paul Hindemith: Viola Concerto 1st movement
W.A. Mozart: Dissonance Quartet 1st movement in string quartet with colleagues from the orchestra

Third round:
Parts from the Schott Orchestra audition booklet for viola
Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 10, 1st movement (end of pizz. bar 112)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: The Magic Flute, Overture
