The scholarship
Outstanding young musicians can apply for a scholarship from the Academy. The prerequisite for this is that they have usually already successfully completed their music studies.
During the two-year programme, Academy students learn the musical requirements of a top orchestra under professional conditions. Each Academy scholarship holder is integrated into the complex day-to-day artistic work of the hr-Sinfonieorchester in a specific way.
The scholarship covers the following areas
-participation in rehearsals, concerts and recordings of up to 50% of the orchestra members' duties
-Participation in CD, radio and television recordings, guest concerts and tours
-Participation in chamber music projects
-individual lessons with members of the hr-Sinfonieorchester (instrumental and chamber music)
-audition training
-mental training in individual lessons
-Course programmes such as Alexander Technique
