The argovia philharmonic (Chief Conductor: Josep Vicent) is based in Aarau (Switzerland) and performs 5 subscription programs per season, each with 3-5 concerts, special concerts, and various other engagements. This amounts to approximately 80 services per year. Remuneration for orchestra rehearsals and concerts is based on the SMV (Swiss Musicians' Association) tariff. The travel expense regulations (argovia philharmonic) provide for reimbursement of travel costs up to a maximum of CHF 42 per day. No accommodation costs are covered.
