Audition Notice Opera Australia seeks an exceptional low mezzo singer to fill the permanent position of Mezzo within the Opera Australia Chorus. Audition dates 20 August | Round 1 21 August | Round 2 Position commencement date Monday 30 November 2026 Remuneration package Starting from $81,846.94 plus superannuation and in accordance with the Performers and Music Staff Enterprise Agreement. Audition Repertoire requirements (for successful applicants) ▪ One aria in Italian ▪ One aria in either French or German ▪ One aria of applicants’ own choice ▪ Excerpts – to be provided by Opera Australia in advance of audition. The excerpts will include an F or F# below middle C ▪ Sight reading Position requirements Prior professional chorus work.
