For this position, we are looking for an outstanding musical personality who is able to take on the role of Principal Cello (m/f/d) in one of Germany's most traditional and renowned opera and ballet orchestras.
In addition to artistic qualifications, which also include experience with contemporary music and historically informed performance practice, we expect a willingness to take on personnel responsibility for the cello section. This includes, in particular, conducting group meetings and regular staff appraisals in consultation with the other Principal Cello (m/f/d) and the orchestra management. We expect a high level of identification with our ensemble and the Württembergische Staatstheater Stuttgart. This also includes a presence beyond the contractually agreed orchestra duties.
We offer a special contract with reduced duties, taking into account your professional experience and qualifications.
