Akademie des Beethoven Orchester Bonn

The Society of Friends of the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn (GdFdBOB) is the project sponsor of the newly founded Beethoven Orchestra Academy (hereinafter BOA), which will be established for the 26/27 season. The BOA is realized as an independent project and in coordination with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn. The task of the BOA is to give particularly qualified young musicians the opportunity to gain insights into the daily work of a professional orchestra and to gain practical experience in orchestral playing.
The Beethoven Orchestra Bonn is a TVK A/F1 orchestra with a lively concert and opera schedule, as well as tours to Poland, Scandinavia and South Tyrol planned for the 26/27 season. The orchestra is based in the Bonn Opera House and the Beethoven Hall.
The training includes:
- Participation in rehearsals, concerts and opera performances (up to 15 participations per month)
- Individual lessons, chamber music, audition training, etc.
- If possible, further offers for stress management, contract and tax matters
- A monthly scholarship of 1,200 euros
Requirements:
- Age: up to 28 years on August 1, 2026
- German language skills B1
- Residence permit for the entire funding period
