Algarve Young Violinist International Summer Academy Portugal | Praia da Luz Posted 05 Feb 2026 Courses Violin A unique opportunity for young violinists aged 13-17 to develop and elevate their playing in the magical setting of Praia da Luz, a town situated on the western Algarve coastline. Directed by the Ukrainian-British concert violinist and recording artist Dr Sofia Yatsyuk, this is the Academy’s second year. Daily individual lessons, performance classes, chamber music coaching, rehearsals with an accompanist, an introduction to yoga for young musicians, as well as plenty of exciting outdoor excursions. The activities foster a passion for music, and the week ends with a beautiful showcase concert that welcomes parents and classical music lovers from the local town.
