Our unique Foundation Programme gives recent music graduates of all backgrounds realtime first steps and work into professional careers Open to musicians of all backgrounds, up to two years after leaving formal study. The Foundation’s diverse programming encompasses wide-ranging musical styles across core repertoire and contemporary female and BAME composers. Running a range of ambitious projects, the Foundation Programme will give opportunity to 36 instrumentalists, soloists, conductor, singers and composer annually. As well as paid work preparing for and performing four orchestral concerts in London, participants will be supported by wraparound sessions each season, with mentoring from core Orpheus members and eminent industry professionals. The Foundation Programme will establish a lasting space in which emerging professionals can explore and develop future livelihoods. It creates a juncture to realise creative entrepreneurship and learn how to work.
