MA in Classical String Performance Ireland | Limerick Posted 20 Jan 2026 Courses Viola The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance's MA in Classical String Performance is led by Principal players of the Irish Chamber Orchestra (ICO). Students receive weekly individual lessons, chamber music, technique- and performance classes & orchestral training from ICO Principals. The course facilitates encounters with ICO visiting artists e.g. Henning Kraggerud, Carolin Widmann & Kristian Bezuidenhout, and MA students can qualify for a place on the ICO’s apprenticeship scheme by audition. The unique focus of this 2-year, full-time course is developing embodied, holistically integrated musicians. Intensive tuition in e.g., yoga, Body Mapping, Dalcroze, Baroque, New Music & Improvisation is integral to the programme.
