PRISMA Festival & Academy Canada | Powell River Posted 17 Jan 2026 Courses French Horn The PRISMA Festival & Academy offers an in-depth orchestral training program that provides advanced students and young professionals with the essential tools to win a position in a professional orchestra. PRISMA 2026 students will engage daily with world-renowned artists from top symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles. Students will receive private lessons, sectional rehearsals, masterclasses, and workshops from the guest artists, who also perform throughout the festival. In a supportive learning environment, students will perform in the PRISMA Festival Orchestra with 80 talented peers, featuring works such as: • Holst – The Planets • Berlioz – Symphonie fantastique • Brahms – Double Concerto in A minor … and other exciting works Each year, over 5,000 concertgoers attend the PRISMA Festival in Powell River to experience the daily musical events, symphony and chamber music concerts, masterclasses, and recitals.
