The Japanese-German Philharmonic Society proudly announces the Winter Academy 2027, held in Saitama, Japan.
This intensive 9-day international masterclass is uniquely designed for conductors, soloists, and orchestral musicians who seek to elevate their artistry through rigorous practical training and deep stylistic insight.

Under the artistic leadership of Director Naoki Sugiyama and a distinguished international faculty, the academy focuses on the core principles of the traditional German School of conducting and performance.
A central pillar of our curriculum is developing a profound understanding of historical performance practices and conducting rigorous structural analysis based on critical score editions.

Intensive foundational sessions utilizing two pianos, advancing to high-level, practical rehearsals with a professional ensemble/orchestra.
