The MMF Conducting Institute is an intensive program for aspiring conductors who wish to gain experience in the symphonic and operatic fields. Conducting Institute participants receive daily conducting classes, orchestral readings, and an orchestral concert. Repertoire: Mozart | Symphony No. 36 (“Linz”) Farrenc | Symphony No. 3 Beethoven | Symphony No. 2 Performances All Conducting Institute participants have the opportunity to perform in the orchestral symphony concert. Participants will share the program, each conducting one movement from a symphony, concerto, or overture which will be professionally recorded. Participants are guaranteed a minimum of two hours of cumulative orchestra podium time, in addition to class sessions.
