The 4th edition of the Lugo Music Festival is a very diverse and interdisciplinar event, combining instructive courses and musical concerts. It's an example of coexistence of different genres, styles and musical ensembles, with two lines of action: 1. Festival of concerts. 2. Course-Competition for conductors. Our course director is maestro Cristóbal Soler. Students can register as advanced, beginner or auditing (non-participating) students. Deadline for application is May 31. The focus of this fourth edition will be music for strings, but we'll also have rehearsals with Big Band and Youth Ensemble. The winner of the conducting competition will be chosen out of 3 finalists from the participants in the course. Prizes include positions at an opera festival, grants for masterclasses and a total of €1,500 in musical material.
