To enrich our team, Mozarteum University Salzburg is looking to fill the following position in its Stringed and Plucked In-struments Department for the 2026/2027 winter semester: Lecturer for Double Bass IGP Number: 1242/1-2026 From the 2026/2027 winter semester, there is an opening at Mozarteum University Salzburg for temporary employment as a lecturer with approximately 5 semester hours per week. Requirements are: • Evidence of a completed national or equivalent foreign higher education qualification relevant to the position or an equivalent artistic qualification. • Corresponding artistic and pedagogical skills appropriate to the task • Extensive teaching experience at all performance levels in group lessons • Artistic activity • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team • A willingness to enhance the double bass IGP department and to develop it sustainably The corresponding duties will notably include • Teaching in the field of individual artistic instruction in the main artistic subject, ZKF or focus area • Implementation of teaching practice and subject-specific didactics Mozarteum University Salzburg also expects: • A willingness to participate in committees and university self-administration as well as in artistic, scientific and pedagogical projects within the department. • Team spirit, respectful dealings with students and colleagues and a willingness to contribute constructively for the benefit of the department and the university • A high level of sensitivity in terms of diversity and gender issues
