  Teaching jobs Cello
MusicAbility CIC offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic cellist interested in developing their teaching skills in an inspiring, musically focussed small team. We offer a starting point – a stipend of £10k/year plus accommodation – from which teachers can grow their practice and work in a wide range of community settings. Suitable for a recent graduate or anyone thinking of seeking new experiences and professional inspiration. (We may also consider applications from a violin/cello partnership.) The programme could be a two/three year opportunity to develop teaching skills supported by highly experienced colleagues (with the potential to lead to an MMus degree) or could be a first step for a permanent relocation to Cornwall with the potential to build a full teaching timetable. Run by Tim Boulton, (violin/viola, formerly Head of Strings at Junior Guildhall and professor at GSMD), Emma Stansfield (violin/viola & Junior Guildhall Kodaly teacher) & Ruth Boulton (music therapist). Based at MusicAbility Centre in the middle of Penzance, teaching also takes place at many of the primary and secondary schools in the locality. MusicAbility works closely in partnership with other local and national organisations including ASONE Hub, IMS (Prussia Cove), Music For Youth and The Frost Music Trust. West Cornwall is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and the sea light that has inspired generations of artists. In recent years, with superfast broadband and an excellent train connection to London, Penzance is attracting a new generation of creative professionals. The successful applicant will be an accomplished cellist who may or may not have teaching experience, but who will be keen to develop professional skills. MusicAbility values diversity. Email a CV + names of 2 referees & a short covering letter to info@musicabilitycic.uk. All applicants will be offered an initial zoom interview with ample opportunity to ask questions. We hope to appoint by 1/1
