O/Modernt Foundation and Artistic Director Hugo Ticciati are seeking outstanding violinists to join the O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra on a freelance basis. Successful applicant(s) will become an integral part of a dynamic and creative ensemble that has gained an international reputation over the last decade. Comprised of top-class string players from all over Europe, O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra performs regularly on tour and has residencies in Wigmore Hall, London and the newly built Queen Silvia Hall, Stockholm. Recent and upcoming highlights include concerts in Kölner Philharmonie, Elbphilharmonie, Düsseldorf Tonhalle, Helsinki Concert Hall, Dortmund Konzerthaus, and Bridgewater Hall.

1st round:
Please apply with a high-quality video recording (YouTube or Vimeo - need to be linked during the application process).
The recording should be an unedited video of 10-15 minutes and include a contrasting variety of excerpts: fast, slow, old, new, improvisations, folk tunes etc. A mixture of solo pieces, works with piano accompaniment and orchestral excerpts are welcomed.
The video can be a compilation made from unedited recordings from different performances. There are no restrictions in the choice of repertoire and movements/pieces do not need to be performed in their entirety.

2nd round:
An online interview with the Artistic Director Hugo Ticciati and one of the principals of O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra.
3rd round:
A trial project/concert with O/Modernt Chamber Orchestra.
