The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra invites applications for the position of Joint Leader.

We are seeking an exceptional violinist to lead our world-renowned orchestra. The ideal candidate will have extensive professional orchestral experience, outstanding leadership abilities, and the highest level of technical and musical excellence.
Auditions will be held on:
29th August 2025 in Wiesbaden, Germany
22nd September 2025 (or my arrangement) in London, UK
30th October 2025 in Madrid, Spain
January 2026 in Orlando, Florida

Auditions will be unscreened and one round only on the day. Please indicate on your application your preferred venue for the live audition. Successful candidates will be offered some trial dates with the orchestra.
The RPO is unable to reimburse candidates’ travel costs.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
The RPO reserves the right to close this process at any point in the event of finding the best candidate for this role.
Any candidate, who is unable to travel for a live audition, should indicate this with their application and, if shortlisted, will be given the option to submit a recorded audition.
