Announces the following vacancies:

VIOLIN – 4 positions

All candidates have the choice of playing a live preliminary audition in New York or sending a recording of your preliminary audition. The repertoire is the same for both options. You will be asked to indicate your preference between a live or recorded preliminary audition when submitting your application.

Due to the limited availability of David Geffen Hall, some applicants who wish to play a live preliminary audition may be asked to submit a recorded audition. If we cannot accommodate a live audition, we will notify you by Thursday, December 18, 2025.

Application Deadline: Thursday, December 4, 2025
Deadline to Submit Recorded Preliminary Audition: Thursday, January 22, 2026
Live Preliminary Auditions: Monday, February 23, Monday, March 2, and Saturday, March 7, 2026
Semi-Final Auditions: Friday, March 20, 2026
Final Auditions: Saturday, March 21, 2026

Employment will commence by mutual agreement based upon the winning candidate’s availability and the New York Philharmonic schedule.

Base scale is $190,698 for the 52-week 2025-2026 season.
