The first violin section of the Mahler Chamber Orchestra is looking to fill a vacant position and will begin this process with an audition on October 25th in Hamburg. Please apply in writing, including a CV.
The Mahler Chamber Orchestra (MCO) was founded in 1997 based on the shared vision of being a free and international ensemble, dedicated to creating and sharing exceptional experiences in classical music.
The orchestra is governed collectively by its management team and orchestra board; decisions are made with the participation and representation of all musicians.
The democratic structure of the MCO demands a high level of commitment and responsibility from its members
A member must commit to at least 50% of the annual schedule, which in an average year is maximum 180 days. There is a financial bonus awarded to players that commit to at least 75% of those days.
