The scholarship
Outstanding young musicians are eligible to apply for a scholarship from the Academy. The prerequisite is a successfully completed degree in music.
During the two-year training programme, the Academy members learn the musical requirements of a top orchestra under professional conditions. Each scholarship holder at the Academy is integrated in a specific way into the complex artistic work of the hr-Sinfonieorchester.
The scholarship covers the following areas:
-Participation in rehearsals, concerts and recordings of up to 50% of the orchestra members' duties
-Participation in CD, radio and television recordings, guest concerts and tours
-Participation in chamber music projects
-Individual lessons with members of the hr-Sinfonieorchester (instrumental and chamber music)
-Audition training
-Individual mental training
-Courses such as Alexander Technique
