The Fondazione Arturo Toscanini announces an international competition for the permanent appointment of the following positions in its Orchestras:
SECTION VIOLIN - 3 positions
The selection process also includes an audition aimed at forming a separate ranking from the competition ranking, which will be used for the possible awarding of fixed-term employment contracts in the same role, according to the procedures regulated in the announcement.
Admission Requirements
At least 18 years of age;
Italian citizenship or citizenship of a European Union country. Non-EU citizens legally residing in Italy are also admitted to the competition;
Enjoyment of civil and political rights;
Second-level degree or Old System Diploma related to the instrument for which the competition is announced, obtained from a Conservatory or equivalent music institute, or equivalent certification for qualifications obtained abroad;
Physical fitness for the job;
Not having incurred criminal convictions for which dismissal from employment in the Public Administration is foreseen, nor having been dismissed from previous employment for having obtained the appointment through false documents or documents vitiated by incurable invalidity.
The required qualifications must be possessed by the application deadline.
The examinations are scheduled, barring unforeseen changes, at the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini headquarters on November 15, 16, 18, 19, 21, and 23, 2026; the summons will be sent exclusively electronically to the address indicated by the candidate in the application form.
Those wishing to participate in the selection must present a valid identification document and all materials related to the examination program.
The Foundation will provide an accompanying pianist. However, the competitor may use their own pianist at their own expense.
The competition will be structured according to the following phases:

• PRELIMINARY ROUND

• SECOND ROUND

• FINAL ROUND

At the end of the FINAL ROUND, the examining committee will draw up the final competition ranking.
The committee reserves the right to admit directly to the second round or the final those competitors whose artistic merits are considered particularly outstanding.
Absence from the examinations will in any case be considered as a withdrawal from the competition.
The preliminary round and the second round will be conducted in such a way as to guarantee the anonymity of each participant.
The judging panel may decide to divide the individual phases of the competition into multiple hearings.
The judging panel and candidates will be asked to avoid any contact or communication with the outside by deactivating and/or eventually handing over devices (smartphones, tablets, phones, PCs, or other) to the designated personnel. Violating these provisions will result in exclusion from the competition.
The lack of even one of the requirements requested by the announcement or the failure to produce the required documents will result in exclusion from the competition or the annulment of the examinations taken.
Examinations taken by competitors whose declarations prove to be untrue or inaccurate will be considered null and void.
