The day of audition will be divided in three different parts: one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one in the evening.
1st round :
1. An opera aria in original to choose from
2. A choir part of the choir score of:
Abstract from Haydn « The Creation » (see enclosure)
3. Great vocalise of Rossini from the note “C”
2nd round :
1. Two choir parts of choir scores :
Abstract from Rossini « Stabat Mater » (see enclosure)
Abstract from Mascagni « Cavalleria Rusticana » (see enclosure)
2. Decoding of a melody or abstracts from an opera choir or oratorio.
The candidate will have 5 minutes to prepare this test.
3rd round :
1. Rehearsal :
Working with the whole alto choir, under the musical direction of the choir master for the following abstracts :

3. Abstract from Bizet « The pearl fishermen » (see enclosure)
4. Arrangement for Chorus « All The Things You Are » by Ward Swingle
