Invites applications for the permanent position of
CO-PRINCIPAL HORN
with duty to play 1st and 3rd horn
The audition will be held at Turku Concert Hall on Monday 1st of September, 2025 starting at 10:00 (am).
Audition Repertoire
- W. A. Mozart: Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat major KV 495, 1st mvt with cadenza
- R. Strauss: Horn Concerto No. 1 Op. 11 (complete)
- Orchestral excerpts, which will be sent to applicants after the closing date and the video pre-round selections.
Applications
The closing date for the applications is Monday 26th of May 2025 at midnight, 24:00 PM (GMT+2 Finnish time). For applying, please fill in the online application form available on Musicalchairs.
Please include in the application a link to a video, which includes applicant’s performance of the following excerpts:
- W. A. Mozart: Horn Concerto No. 4 in E-flat major KV 495, 1st mvt: From the beginning to the recapitulation, without the cadenza (without piano accompaniment)
- A. Bruckner: Symphony No. 4 E-flat major WAB 104, 4th mvt, orchestral excerpt
- D. Shostakovich: Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat major Op. 107, 1st mvt, orchestral excerpts

Invitations to attend the audition will be sent to selected candidates by email after the closing date. A pre-selection will be done based on the applications and the videos.
