About Us The Schleswig Regiment of Foot Band of the Royal Danish Army – commonly known as SMUK – is one of the Danish Armed Forces' three full-time professional music corps. It consists of 16 musicians, including brass players and percussionists. The band is organizationally part of the Schleswig Regiment of Foot and is based daily at the Schleswig House of Music (Slesvigske Musikhus) in Haderslev.

Terms of Employment Employment and salary are in accordance with the current organizational agreement for musicians and conductors in the Danish Armed Forces of May 28, 2025, between the Ministry of Defence Personnel Agency, the Central Organization of 2010 (CO10), and the Association of Musicians in the Armed Forces. Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating supplements. In addition, there is a full employer-funded pension scheme. The positions are full-time with employment starting August 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter. Permanent employment occurs after a one-year probationary period.
