The orchestral internship is limited to the 2026/27 season and offers young musicians the opportunity to gain valuable orchestral experience by participating in concerts, operas, operettas, ballets and musicals.
Furthermore, the internship includes free lessons from members of our orchestra, audition training and a chamber concert of your own.
Framework conditions: 

• Contract duration: 12 months 

• Remuneration: €850 per month (gross) 

• Scope: max. 160 services in the season (approx. 16 services per month) 

Requirements:

• The internship should take place as part of orchestral music studies or immediately afterwards.

• Applicants from non-EU countries require a valid work and residence permit for the duration of the internship.

• We would like to expressly point out that applicants who have already completed a fixed-term contract or an internship / scholarship / academy in another TVK orchestra cannot participate in our intern audition.

• Candidates invited to the audition should register in the orchestra office on the day of the audition. To do this, please ring the bell at the sign in the courtyard of the Görreshaus. You will then be assigned your warm-up room.

• Rooms for warming up are available to a limited extent from 1.5 hours before the start of the audition.

• A prerequisite for participation in the audition for participants who are not subject to EU freedom of movement is a residence status that allows a work permit to be issued. We ask that you submit proof of this at the audition.

• Please note that travel expenses cannot be reimbursed. 

• Please note: We put a lot of time and money into organizing and carrying out an audition. If you are unable to attend at short notice despite your acceptance, we expressly ask that you cancel at the latest 24 hours in advance!
