The ORT Foundation (Orchestra della Toscana) publishes the competition notice for permanent recruitment for the role of Principal Double Bass with obligation to perform second desk and on five-string double bass (1 position).
The exam will be divided into three phases: 1) anonymous preliminary test; 2) second test; 3) final test.
The examinations will take place on 11, 12 and 14 MAY 2026 in Florence, at the Teatro Verdi.

The employment relationship will be governed by the rules established by the National Collective Labour Agreement for the Italian Lyric Symphony Foundations and by the company's integrative agreement.
The employment relationship will be full-time indefinite with a six-month probationary period.
The inscription to the competition must be submitted exclusively online, by completing the appropriate REGISTRATION FORM in its entirety and proceeding with electronic submission together with the required attachments.

Applicants must present themselves at the examination with a valid identification document and the complete material for the examination program.
The piano accompanist will be provided by the ORT Foundation; however, the applicant may use his/her own accompanist.
Applicants are not entitled to any remuneration and/or reimbursement for their participation in the competition.
