The aim of the Orchestra Academy of the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra is to systematically promote young aspiring professional orchestra musicians.

The two-year training programme at the academy includes:
- Weekly individual lessons with orchestra members
- Chamber music lessons and participation in chamber concerts
- Targeted preparation for auditions and audition simulations in front of an orchestra jury
- Workshops, physical coaching and mental training
- Participation in concerts, opera and ballet performances
Our academy students receive monthly financial support of €1,150.
The programme is aimed at musicians up to the age of 26 (cut-off date: date of the audition).
