KIS Winter Masterclasses Norway | GRIMSTAD Posted 04 Jan 2026 Courses Cello Between February 13 and 22, 2026, Klassisk i Sentrum (KIS), in collaboration with the Virtuoso & Belcanto Festival in Lucca, Italy, presents international masterclasses for strings, piano and chamber music in Grimstad and Arendal, Southern Norway. Faculty members include Eszter Haffner, David Frühwirth, Jan Bjøranger, Mark Gothoni, Sebastian Müller, Yuko Miyagawa, Yejin Gil and Gottlieb Wallisch. Applications are open to individual musicians, established chamber ensembles, or combinations of both. Participants receive 3–6 individual lessons of 45 minutes and may also take part in chamber music coaching and ensemble work. Daily public concerts are an integral part of the program and provide regular performance opportunities. A limited number of full scholarships are available for accompanists. Teaching takes place mainly in Grimstad and Arendal, approx. 45 minutes from Kristiansand Airport (KRS).
