Naumburg International Violin Competition United States | New York / New York Posted 01 Jan 2026 Competitions Violin FIRST PRIZE: Cash Award of $25,000 Two fully subsidized New York Recitals A Commissioned Work SECOND PRIZE: Cash Award of $15,000 THIRD PRIZE: Cash Award of $10,000 APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS The competition is open to violinists of every nationality. The competitors may not be under the age of 18 or more than 32 years of age. (You cannot have celebrated your 33rd birthday on or before November 1, 2026.) AUDITIONS Preliminary auditions, semi-finals, and finals will be held from October 27 – November 1, 2026 in New York City. APPLICATIONS Prescreening deadline is September 7th, 2026 There is a $150 application fee.
