The International Violin Competition City of Bogotá is a prestigious new event dedicated to promoting the talent of young violinists from around the world. Our initiative is fostered by the Bogota’s Mayor’s Office, The Secretariat of Culture of Bogotá, the Philharmonic Orchestra of Bogotá, and The Mayor Theatre Julio Mario Santo Domingo. The competition will take place this year in the vibrant city of Bogotá, Colombia, from October 31 to November 7. The competition is open to violinists aged 30 years and under, offering a total prize pool of $70,000 USD along with all accommodation, transportation and expenses paid for the 20 participants.
