GM NEXT International Music Competition Italy | Rome Posted 13 Feb 2026 Competitions Trombone GM NEXT – International Music Competition 2026 is open to young Soloists (Cat. C) and Chamber Music Ensembles (Cat. D) from Europe and abroad. Eligible are Under 18 musicians and those who turn 19 during the 2025/26 academic year. The first round is FREE and online by video — no entry fee required. Selected candidates will perform live in Rome on May 9, 2026, where Semifinal and Final take place on the same day. Total prize fund: €7,500, including cash prizes, vouchers, Audience Awards, and prize concerts with partner institutions in Italy, Spain, Belgium, Romania and Bulgaria.
