Split International Music Competition 2026 Croatia | City of Split Posted 02 Feb 2026 Competitions Piano 1st part - PIANO (February/March 2026) 2nd part - CELLO, SAXOPHONE and GUITAR (September 2026) Split International Music Competition 2026 brings outstanding young performers to the Adriatic city of Split for a high-level international contest in piano, cello, saxophone and guitar. Open to musicians up to 32 years of age, SIMC offers a transparent, jury-driven competition structure designed to identify artistic excellence, technical mastery and individuality. Each discipline features a multi-round format, including live rounds in Split and, for selected categories, preliminary video screening. Repertoire is artist-selected within defined guidelines, allowing competitors to demonstrate stylistic breadth, virtuosity and musical depth. Croatian composers are actively encouraged across all categories, celebrating the country’s rich contemporary and classical heritage.
