Musicale Giovanni Bottesini that organizes the International Bottesini Competition – IBC, announces the 1st ZJCM Bottesini Competition Asia. The collaboration formed between the two institutions aims to spread and enhance the legacy and work of the famous double bass player, conductor and composer Giovanni Bottesini (1821-1889) from Crema (Italy). The Competition will offer double bass players from the Asian Region the opportunity to be judged by a high-level international jury and win a direct access to IBC to be held in Crema in 2026 and a scholarship to support expenses related to travel and stay in Italy.
