Krzysztof Penderecki International Composers’ Competition, Radom Poland | RADOM Posted 29 May 2025 Competitions Composer Radom Chamber Orchestra proudly announces Krzysztof Penderecki International Composers’ Competition ARBORETUM 2025. In the first stage, a three-member international jury selects six works. In the second stage of the competition, during the final concert, six works will be performed by the Radom Chamber Orchestra. It is worth emphasizing that Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki, one of the most outstanding Polish composers, was the initiator of the Competition and until 2019 had the decisive vote in choosing the composer whose work deserves special recognition. In 2023, Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa, his student and an important figure in Polish music culture, agreed to be the chairwoman of the jury. ARBORETUM accepts works scored for a string orchestra.
