Khachaturian International Competition 2026 Armenia | Yerevan Posted 04 Jan 2026 Competitions Cello Khachaturian International Competition in Cello is now open for applications! 06 - 13 June, 2026 The Competition is held annually in Yerevan, Armenia, and aims to reveal young talented musicians in four disciplines: piano, violin, cello, and conducting. In 2026, the competition will be held in the Cello category. The Khachaturian International Competition was established on June 6, 2003, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of renowned Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian. Organized by the “Aram Khachaturian” Cultural Foundation in collaboration with the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, the competition continues to celebrate and promote young musical talent. The Khachaturian International Competition is proud to be a member of the WFIMC. The submission deadline is April 20, 2025. There is no application fee.
