The final auditions will be held at the Mario Del Monaco Theater in Treviso, near Venice, from May 18th to 23rd, 2026. The competition offers winners the opportunity to debut as the protagonists of a different opera each year. For the 2026 edition, the title chosen is "La Traviata," an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi with a libretto by Francesco Maria Piave. The roles in the competition are Violetta Valéry, Alfredo Germont, Giorgio Germont, Annina, Doctor Grenvil, Flora Bervoix, Gastone, Duphol, and Marquis d'Obigny. In the 2026/2027 opera season, the opera will be performed at the Mario Del Monaco Theater in Treviso, the Verdi Theater in Padua, and the Rovigo Social Theatre.
