III International Lied Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" Germany | Görlitz Posted 12 Jan 2026 Competitions All Voice The International Lied Competition "Bolko von Hochberg" is open to singers and pianists (duos) from the field of classical Art Song. Talented musicians have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and are provided with a unique platform to present their song repertoire to an expert jury, receive prizes and opportunity of concerts. The age limit for singers is 40 years; there is no age limit for pianists. This Lied Competition is conceived as a German-Polish and European cooperation project and takes place every two years in Görlitz-Zgorzelec, in Germany. In 2026 the First Round will take place at the Kaufhaus Görlitz (May 30–June 1, 2026), with the semifinals (June 3) and finals (June 4, 2026) at Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra (Poland). The third edition is dedicated to "Sacred Song and Folk Song." The repertoire list and the conditions of participation can be found on the competition website.
