Orchestra Personnel Manager United Kingdom | London Posted 16 Jul 2025 Admin jobs Production The Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the UK’s leading orchestras, seeks a highly motivated Orchestral Personnel Manager. The Orchestra performs regularly in Oxford and London and has an expanding touring programme overseas. The role will focus mainly on booking and contracting of Oxford Philharmonic orchestral players for performances, tours and recordings as directed by the Music Director, according to MU and the orchestra’s own regulations.
This is a permanent, full-time role, based in our London office with some hybrid working possible. The holiday entitlement is 20 days plus 8 bank holidays. Regular travel to Oxford will be required (on average twice per month). Some evening and weekend work will be necessary for rehearsals and concerts. An in-lieu scheme is in place to cover out-of-hours working.
The successful candidate will be given intensive training in using the Orchestra’s database systems.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Booking and contracting musicians for all Oxford Philharmonic concerts
- Sending schedules to musicians of the Orchestra and ensuring their practical requirements on concert days are met
- Assisting the Music Director with his correspondence and diary management
- Assisting musicians with visa and travel requirements
- Preparing monthly payments for orchestral players, and processing player invoices
